The basic principles and capabilities of the ASP.NET MVC Framework technology are discussed and ways to use it in the development of web applications are shown. The advantages of the MVC development approach and the structure of the MVC application are described. A comparison of WebForms technology and MVC Framework is given and issues of their combination are considered. The model and access to data (LINQ technologies, Entity Framework, etc.), controllers, application view and interface, routing mechanisms and Ajax functionality are described. Attention is paid to testing web applications.
