PHP programming begins: installing and configuring PHP and MySQL, choosing a PHP code editor, syntax basics and the most useful PHP functions. The creation of additional modules is considered - photo galleries, RSS grabber, guest book, own template engine, use of Smarty template engine, work with SMTP, POP, MP3 and reCAPTCHA service. Two servers were used as a data store - the most modern version of MySQL 6 and the "super light" SQLite database server. Shows how to use Ajax technology to update data on a page without reloading it. Two real projects are presented: a universal CMS and a real estate sales system. The third edition discusses in detail the phpMyAdmin program, integration of PHP scripts and Flash applications, optimization of PHP code, added new material in 12 chapters.
