Irreconcilable opponents - Prince Danilov and the commander of the French special forces Louis Caranelli - enter into another battle in the forest near the village of Krasnoe, near a strange tree with a luminous trunk, and lose consciousness. Danilov comes to his senses in the hospital in June 1941, in the confusion of the first days of the war. An NKVD officer decides to send him and Caranelli to Moscow. But the truck comes under attack by the German tank corps. Caranelli disarms the escorts and carries the shell-shocked Danilov out of the truck. Soon, having understood the situation, Danilov and Caranelli begin their war against fascism.
