This edition includes the works of Mikhail Ivanovich Tugan-Baranovsky (1865-1919) - economist, theorist of the cooperative movement, sociologist, one of the most famous scientists-humanitarians and public figures of late imperial Russia. Initially a Marxist (the leading representative of the so-called "legal Marxism"), he later moved away from orthodox Marxism in the direction of independent creativity, but, unlike many of his former associates, remained faithful to socialist beliefs. M. I. Tugan-Baranovsky was interested in the history of socialist ideas, in clarifying the appearance of the future socialist system.
