The collection presents the works of the largest living philosopher of the 20th century - Hans Georg Gadamer (born in 1900). Gadamer is the head of one of the leading areas of modern philosophizing - hermeneutics. His works have been repeatedly reprinted and translated into many European languages. Gadamer is also an internationally recognized authority on classical philology and aesthetics. The collection reflects both the general philosophical and specific scientific aspects of Gadamer's work, including his articles on painting, theater and literature. Almost all works covering the period from 1943 to 1977 are published in Russian for the first time. The book opens with an Author's Introduction written specifically for this edition.
