Modern ideas about composite materials based on aluminum alloys, processes of interaction of carbon materials with metal melts are given. Kinetics and mechanisms of processes of interaction of carbon fibers with metal melts are described, as well as processes of interphase interaction of carbon materials with metals and alloys used as matrix materials in composites are considered. Fundamentals of theory and technology of production of composites on the basis of metal matrices reinforced with carbon fibers are presented.
