The Explanatory Dictionary provides an interpretation of words and stable phrases used in various literature, including fiction, as well as in the media. The dictionary of the newest words describes the vocabulary that appeared in the Russian language in the first decade of the 21st century and has not yet been fixed by explanatory dictionaries. These are mainly borrowings from English, less often German and French. Finally, the Dictionary of Obsolete Words explains words that are found in the works of Russian classics and reflect the realities of a long past era, often incomprehensible to the modern reader.
