The book "Revolutionary Latvian Arrows" was prepared for the 40th anniversary of the restoration of Soviet power in Latvia. In order to arouse the interest of the widest reading masses in this epochal event, Latvian academics filled the book with various funny anecdotes: "The Red Banner of the 5th Zemgalsky Regiment," "Defense of the city of Kazan from the props by the valiant knight Vatsetis," etc. For a narrower circle of readers, the book provides a selective deployment of regiments of Latin divisions, indicating the number of personnel and weapons, as well as the proportion of shooters in the armies of the Eastern Front in 1918: in the I army in June - July - 20-30%, in the V army in mid-August - over 50%, in the II army at the end of September - up to 30% of the total composition. There were fewer of them in the III Army - 7-10% in July and in the IV - 2-3% in mid-August.
