The proposed book was based on lectures given by the author to senior students and recorded by S. Ya. Frenkel. The area covered by the book is natural and artificial radioactivity, basic facts and research methods. The calculation results are presented in the finished form without conclusions. The book does not explain the details of experimental methods.
