Architectural features of the ancient fortress city - shrines of the Crimean Karaites (Karaites), a relict small indigenous people of Crimea. Defensive structures, temples, estates, a recently discovered unique underground hydraulic system are described. Reconstruction of fortress complexes is given. Historical information is provided.
