The continuing collection "Soviet Geniza," the first issue of which is held by the reader, aims to introduce sources on the history of Jews in the USSR into the scientific and public circulation. By "introduction into circulation" compilers mean not only the full or partial publication of various texts, but also their understanding. This determined the format of the publication: a combination of detailed analytical articles and - as appendices to them - extensive collections of archival documents.
