"Kyiv Diary Z.KhІІ.1941 - 19.1.1942" by Nandor Fettich (1900-1971), a famous Hungarian scientist, archaeologist, art critic - a historical document of great importance, from the author's perspective illuminates the first winter of Hitler's occupation of Kyiv. At the end of 1941, the scientist was sent by the Nazi department of A. Rosenberg to describe the cultural property stored in museums in Kyiv. Here he talked with famous Ukrainian scientists who, for various reasons, remained in the occupied city. "Diary" contains many interesting details from the life of occupied Kyiv.
