The terminology dictionary of the normative type contains about 3,000 names of species of marine commercial fish of the world fauna. Latin designations of families, genera, species, their Russian names, fish names in Slavic, Germanic, Romance languages, as well as in the languages ​ ​ of the peoples of Asia, Africa, and America, generally accepted in modern ichthyological terminology, are given - in more than 90 languages.
