The book is devoted to the study of English identity, which the author sees as the product of an intense and dramatic dialogue between the Celtic and German principles in the context of Anglo-British civilization. The Anglo-British Dasein, according to the author, does not constitute an independent Logos (unlike the German and French Logos), but is a unique, sometimes conflicting combination of both. According to the author, the leading role of England in the development and promotion on a planetary scale of the paradigm of the New Age is a logical consequence of the internal conflict of Anglo-British civilization, at a certain stage formulated a set of the main principles of Modern: nominalism, scientific and materialistic picture of the world, liberalism, market, individualism, thalassocracy.
