Memories of old Ashgabats are dedicated to the life of the capital of Turkmenistan in the 1920s. They contain colorful pictures of the life of those years, talk about the long-forgotten realities of a provincial city on the southern outskirts of the former Russian Empire, where there are almost no places of memory. This book contributes to our ideas about what was the everyday routine of Ashgabat life during the early USSR. As illustrations, the book uses photographs from personal archives, as well as postcards with views of the city, including those published before the revolution.
