Russian mythology is a very special mythological world. This world lost its deities early - only lists of names and mentions in the annals of the overthrow of "idols" were preserved - and turned to the White God. However, Christianity failed to oust from the popular consciousness the idea of ​ ​ "neighbors" - numerous domestic, field, forest, water and other spirits that have long been adjacent to man. This is how the unique situation of double faith, which formed the basis of Russian mythology, developed.
