This publication was prepared on the basis of folklore records of students of Bryansk State University and the compiler of the book made over the past quarter century. The collection includes 225 texts recorded from 174 respondents in 158 settlements of the region. The book is accompanied by information about performers, collectors and settlements, dictionaries of dialect and outdated words that facilitate working with the book. The publication is addressed to folklorists, ethnographers, local historians and all lovers of folk art.
