The classic work of the prominent Russian philosopher Sergei Nikolaevich Trubetskoy (1862-1905) is a systematic presentation of the history of ancient Greek philosophy, mainly before Socrates. This period still remains insufficiently studied in Russian literature, and the work of S. N. Trubetskoy to this day is one of the fundamental in the study of the history of philosophy.
