The book of Yulia Kreinina is the first monograph in Russian dedicated to the outstanding German composer of the early XX century. Max Reger. His creative path and legacy are considered by the author against the background of the artistic and social movements of the era. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of Reger's musical language and style (connections with romanticism and the art of I. S. Bach), as well as the influence of the composer on the work of the largest masters of the 20th century.
