The fifth issue of the yearbook introduces new research to the scientific audience. The core of the collection was articles devoted to various problems of the history of the Soviet economy: the planning system, the growth rate of labor productivity, the labor motivation of Soviet workers, the economic aspects of the history of the Gulag, as well as the development of certain sectors and sectors of the Soviet economy (military-industrial complex, gold industry, agriculture, local industry).
