This book was written on the basis of the author's own operational experience, a retired major general who headed the departments of the Second Main Directorate (counterintelligence) of the KGB of the USSR. The narrative is based on the real events of the recent past, a specific action by the US CIA, which recruited a Soviet intelligence diplomat abroad, and the operation of our counterintelligence, which managed to identify this dangerous agent.
