Remarkable Russian artist Yuri Pavlovich Annenkov (1889-1974) lived the last half century of his life abroad, in France. The book "Diary of My Meetings" is a memoir of prominent figures of Russian culture, with many of whom the author was friendly. A. Blok, A. Akhmatova, N. Gumilev, G. Ivanov, V. Khlebnikov, S. Benua, K. Malevich and others appear on the pages "Diary...," captured by the artist's keen eye. And next to these figures, dozens of others appear, and behind private stories stands the history of Russian culture for seven decades. Next to the people of art are state and party leaders of the first years of the revolution, primarily Lenin and Trotsky.
