The book tells about the formation of the first bourgeois Provisional Government in Russia, about the treacherous role of the Menshevik and Socialist-Revolutionary parties, which, despite the Bolshevik proposals for the organization of the Provisional Revolutionary Government, transferred the initiative to create power to the leaders of the Progressive Bloc of the IV State Duma - the Mensheviks and Octobrists.
