In recent years, futurology, the "science of the future," has played a prominent role in the ideological strategy of imperialism. Its main task is to protect the capitalist system: to justify the long-term perspective of the existence of capitalism, its "advantages" over socialism. The book thoroughly traces the historical roots of futurology. Falsifications by futurists of the nature of socialism, the prospects for the development of the world socialist system are exposed. Attempts to distort the class meaning of the peaceful coexistence of opposing social systems are criticized.
