The second edition of the training manual (first published in 1990) outlines the main issues of nursing. The principles of work of medical institutions, issues of personal hygiene and nutrition of patients, various methods of using drugs are covered. The issues of caring for patients with diseases of the respiratory system, blood circulation, digestion, urinary tract, blood and hematopoietic organs, endocrine system are discussed in detail. Various aspects of caring for surgical patients are considered (aseptic and antiseptic rules, preoperative preparation and postoperative care, etc.). Resuscitation measures and first aid issues for some emergencies are outlined. The textbook is intended for medical students.
