This book is accessible and fascinating about the liberation of Pinsk by real heroes of the Great Patriotic War - sailors of the famous Dnieper River Military Flotilla. Together with soldiers and officers of the ground forces, they liberated our Belarus from Nazi invaders during the Belarusian offensive operation, conducted in the summer of 1944 under the code name "Bagration." Fighting away from the seas, the sailors showed true naval courage and valor in the literal sense: they did not spare their lives.
