The documents presented in this book testify to the tragic fate of millions of children in the country of "happy childhood." The general repressive system of the USSR, which destroyed millions of families, doomed small citizens to orphanhood, suffering and death. In the present volume "Children of the Gulag. 1918-1956" included documents on the fate of children during the first four decades of the Soviet Union.
