The myth of Russia is considered in the monograph as an integral semiotic structure of national culture. Expressed in images, stereotypes, judgments, plots, this semiotic structure develops gradually, relying on ideas about "one's own" and in direct connection with the complex cultural-historical and socio-political context of the era. Its main function is to conceptualize the experience of perceiving the phenomena of the world of another culture; its most important characteristic is the interconnection of all significant results of this conceptualization.
