The monograph is devoted to the development of relations between Byzantium and Russia from the 9th to the 14th centuries. Russian-Byzantine treaties, the struggle for Bulgaria, the question of the "Note of the Greek Toparch" and the Baptism of Russia, in particular, the question of the influence of Byzantium on the formation of the ancient culture of many peoples of the USSR, etc. were considered separately.
