Golovin (head of the Higher Military Courses in Paris and correspondence courses in all countries of dispersion of the Russian All-Military Union) defines the historical value as follows in his preface to the book: "The book "Kornilovsky Shock Regiment" is offered to the reader. The compiler of this book is an experienced writer. The most interesting documentary material in the talented presentation of M. A. Kritsky from the first to the last page will keep the reader in a tense state. The way of the valiant Kornilovites will appear brightly before him. Like precious stones, manifestations of supreme heroism glisten against the gloomy background of fratricidal war. I have no doubt that the reader himself appreciate the book "Kornilov with the Cue Shock Regiment." As a military historian, I want to draw attention here to another book that has not yet been written, but which should be written. I'm talking about the "History of the Kornilovsky Shock Regiment."
