Information on non-renewable and renewable energy resources, their characteristics are given; fundamentals of heat engineering are considered: positions of technical thermodynamics and fundamentals of heat exchange. Diagrams and operating principles of thermal power plants, gas turbine plants, NPP are given; hydraulic and wind power plants. The main thermal equipment of TPPs is presented: steam and hot water boilers, steam turbines and injection machines. For students of institutions of secondary vocational training, it can be used by students of electrical engineering specialties of universities, as well as employees of power plants and industry.
