The academic discipline "Drawing" is basic for students studying and mastering the theory and practice of design. For the first time in domestic and foreign practice of studying a drawing (as a language means), its systemic state, reflected in a typological approach, is presented - perceptual, analytical and compositional drawing. The rethinking of the significance of the drawing should take place under the motto of the actual task: the drawing is not only one of the means of creating visual forms, but also a universal language of reflection, research, transformation of the surrounding world.
