Volume 1 - The book discusses the most pressing problems of solid state ionics - synthesis and characterization of various solid electrolytes, physical foundations and the use of physicochemical and nuclear-physical methods to study the features of ion transport in solid electrolytes. Much attention is paid to the basic ideas of physics and chemistry of superionic materials, the processes of charge transfer in them, as well as computer methods for modeling such materials. Detailed information on most currently known cationic conductors, crystal structure, phase transitions, transfer phenomena is given.
