Real tafsir was undertaken in the last century in the Islamic Republic of Iran. A group of authoritative Muslim theologians at the Islamic Center for Scientific Research, led by Ayatollah Haji Allam Seyed Kamal Fakih Imani, began work in 1991 to prepare a complete set of interpretations and comments on the Qur'an, and then to translate this set into different languages ​ ​ of the world. The eight volumes of the publication provide interpretations from the first to the thirty-first surah of the Holy Quran inclusive.
