The first monograph in Russian literature on the problem of natural nuclear fusion of elements. Various aspects of this problem are considered - from primary nucleosynthesis in the hot Universe to nuclear fusion in stars. When analyzing the current state of the theory of the origin of elements, observed and experimental data related to it, the book focuses on the nuclear-physical side of the problem, especially when considering such important processes as slow and fast neutron capture in the synthesis of heavy elements.
