In the conception of this book, we envisaged a text presented in a very accessible format covering the major surgical specialties. We have includedsurgical procedures – something that is lacking in most textbooks. Also included are radiographs of numerous conditions to aid in consolidating learning. The drawings help to visualise difficult concepts, e.g. suturing, amputations.
