Hinduism is seen as a "tree" as a sociocultural, historical and spiritual phenomenon, including its origins ("roots"), foundational categories and concepts ("trunk"), pan-Indian, supraregional and regional cults in association with a pan-Hindu tradition ("krona") and diverse social and ethical manifestations ("fruits"). Interdisciplinary research is based on the analysis of philosophical, theological, literary and folklore texts and on the data of field studies of authors.
