The book is devoted to the life and work of the famous scientist and organizer of scientific schools in various fields of radio engineering, radar and cybernetics A. I. Berg 1893-1979). He graduated from the Marine Corps, sailed on ships and submarines of the Russian, and then the Red Fleet. A few years later he became a specialist in the field of radio engineering and began teaching radio engineering disciplines at the Naval Engineering School and the Naval Academy. In 1943, he carried out a large organizational work on the creation of the Radar Council under the State Defense Committee. He organized a number of research institutions, including the well-known "one hundred and eighth" (NII-108), the Institute of Radio Engineering and Electronics of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
