The book discusses general issues of the basics of metal science and metal corrosion. Description of physical-mechanical, chemical and technological properties of widely used metals and alloys is given. Much attention is paid to corrosion and corrosion resistance of basic metal materials and methods of their protection, corrosion-resistant non-metal materials are described. When considering structural materials, the areas of their application are indicated.
