The pan-European ties of the Benoit family have now acquired special attractiveness, as all the features of the European education of the Russian intelligentsia of the 19th and 20th centuries have become attractive. "Memoirs" by A. N. Benoit is a good book. If we begin to perceive it as a whole, then we will clearly feel that Benoit, with sympathy, as a native, treats the life around him and the work of his contemporaries: regardless of whether he agreed with them or not.
