The manual examines the problems of anthropology of age - one of the sections of social (cultural) anthropology that studies human age as a bio- and sociocultural phenomenon. Basic concepts, categories and scientific approaches are analyzed. The process of the formation of socio-age inequality in traditional societies, its implementation in modern ethnic cultures and subcultures is considered.
