The collective collection is devoted to the consideration of the myth of Europe, which had a significant impact on the self-description of Polish and Russian cultures in the category of "own ""alien," as well as on the formation of the national identity of Poles and Russians. The myth of Europe is set by the ideal of European civilization and culture with its superiority over the world of "barbarian" Slavs, on the one hand, or, on the other, by the conviction of its own special path of development, opposed to European Christianity and Enlightenment.
