The dictionary covers modern terminology on machine parts and contains 18,000 terms. The Soviet Union receives a large amount of literature in German on mechanical engineering and, in particular, on the design and calculation of parts for general-purpose machines. In this regard, the need has long been ripe for the publication of a German-Russian dictionary, which quite fully reflected modern terminology on machine parts.
