Ocober 13th 1939 - following a huge explosion in Scapa Flow, Orkney, one of the Royal Navy's top battleships, HMS Royal Oak rolled over and sank. A German U-boat U-47 had silently penetrated defences and done its work. A total of 833 men died. Last Dawn is a revealing account of the tragedy. Told through declassified photographs and naval records and statements from survivors, this is a dramatic and moving reassessment of the biggest loss of boy sailors in a single event in World War II.
