The book includes works of classical Afghan (Khushkhal Khan Khattak, Rahman Baba, etc.), Chinese (Qu Yuan, Jia Yi, Cao Zhi, etc.) and Persian-Tajik poetry (Nasir Khusrow, Sayido Nasafi, Kamol Khujandi), as well as poems modern poets of Azerbaijan (Samed Vurgun) and Tajikistan (Mirsaid Mirshakar, Mirzo Tursun-zade) in translations of the famous Soviet poetess A.E. Adalis.
