In this book, the revolution that began in Russia in 1917 is considered as a natural result of a long-term conflict between two different cultures that coexisted simultaneously in pre-revolutionary Russia: Russian-European and Russian-Moscow. The permanent split of society and the stable contradictory nature of culture constituted the main originality and peculiarity of Russia.
