Structural geology is an important part of geological science, studying the forms of occurrence of rocks in the earth's crust and their origin. The conclusions obtained by structural geology are widely used in solving many theoretical and practical issues. Geological surveying and prospecting, the doctrine of minerals and exploration, engineering geology and hydrogeology, the doctrine of sedimentary rocks, facies and formations, historical geology and geomorphology are an incomplete list of areas of knowledge that often use the conclusions of structural geology. Structural geology data are especially important for developing theoretical issues in geotectonics.
