The present edition includes the works of Eugene Schwartz, created by him from 1947 to 1957. A significant part of this volume - "Diaries" - is not a memoir, but a living, direct reflection of Soviet life of those years. The records contain a lot of personal news: home news, restless thoughts about her daughter, an endless string of names - guests on holidays and friends who just go "on the light," acquaintances and not friends at all, a chronicle of the Writers' Union and "anatomical details" of their own writing work. In addition, the book includes works by Schwartz of the 1950s and personal correspondence.
