The book is devoted to the study of Russian foreign policy in the 60s of the XVII century. At this time, the outstanding statesman of pre-Petrine Russia A. L. Ordin-Nashchokin put forward his program for solving the foreign policy problems facing the Russian state. The work analyzes this program, shows the efforts of A. L. Ordin-Nashchokin aimed at obtaining approval of the program by the tsar and his advisers and implementing it, and also establishes the reasons why A. L. Ordin-Nashchokin failed to implement his extensive plans.
