The paper presents a soiiological analysis of the history of the past millennium, on the basis of which the author concludes that there are a number of chronological patterns in the life of social organisms at the regional level. Based on these patterns, taking into account the expected phenomena of a pan-planetary scale, a forecast of historical development for the 21st century has been drawn up.
